SCA Brewing's beginner, intermediate, and advanced courses help you understand every variable involved in brewing coffee using different equipment, including the effects of grind size, roast level, and water temperature. You'll also learn about the relationship between coffee concentration and extraction, and the impact of different coffee-to-water ratios. By applying the "Golden Cup Brewing Standard," also known as the "Golden Cup Theory," you'll understand the factors behind the data, from water temperature, water-to-coffee ratio, and brewing time, to the coffee concentration or Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) and extraction rate after extraction, thereby increasing your chances of successful coffee extraction.
