As a company dedicated to providing high-quality coffee experiences, Tasse Coffee not only focuses on the quality of coffee itself but also actively assumes corporate social responsibility. To further promote sustainable development, Tasse Coffee has specially organized a series of local coffee bean identification and sustainable development workshops, allowing everyone to gain a deeper understanding of the origin and production process of coffee.
Although Hong Kong's climate is not suitable for coffee cultivation, there are still a few growers who attempt to cultivate coffee trees locally. Tasse Coffee has invited these local coffee farmers to introduce their planting journey and the characteristics of their coffee beans. Through professional coffee tasting, participants can personally experience the unique flavor of Hong Kong-grown coffee beans.
In addition to understanding the origin of coffee, Tasse Coffee has also invited sustainable development experts to explain the social and environmental impacts of the coffee industry. The workshops explore issues such as resource consumption, carbon emissions, and the impact on small-scale farmers during coffee production. Participants can learn how to support a more responsible coffee supply chain through their consumption choices.
After the workshops, Tasse Coffee also encourages participants to take action and adopt simple practices to support sustainable development. For example, choosing to buy organic or fair-trade certified coffee, or participating in coffee grounds recycling programs. Every individual's small effort can contribute to improving the sustainability of the coffee industry.
